Bilacus Restaurant since 2014 is managed by Aurelio Gandola. We pay particular attention to Italian products and the fresh pasta we make every day, we try to offer classic cuisine using quality raw materials from lake and sea fish. We use large size fish, caught in the open sea, in order to offer a genuine taste. We use meat mainly taken from local butchers, possibly Italian meat and raised on non-intensive farms. In some cases we use a low temperature and vacuum cooking, to preserve the tastes and properties of the product. Chef Marco Rando, a young self-taught and passionate about cooking, after a work experience in several starred restaurants in Italy and abroad, decided to stop in Bellagio and embrace my new restaurant project, all of which is constantly evolving.
My family has been managing the Trattoria San Giacomo for almost 50 years, the historic stone of the Bellagina tradition, over the years with passion and commitment, I managed to fulfill a small dream by opening the Aperitivo Et Al, a wine shop that offers wines, dishes hot, cold dishes and passion. The second-last arrived the ice cream shop, Smooth Operators, where I was able to try my hand in a part of the kitchen that is more or less unknown. The wait staff offers a friendly greeting and very good knowledge of the wine list. Local lake fish favorites are well described, as are pasta and other northern Italian dishes. Appetizers were creative and well, “appetizing”.
2/3 up a stepped laneway from the lido, found this gem. Sat outside under the autumn leaves from the grape vines on the pergola. The Saltimbocca alla Romana was excellent Service was both efficient and friendly.
Wonderful terrace, had dinner here a couple of evenings ago, when the weather was warm! Great meal and super waiting staff. The apple crumble for dessert was delicious! Loved it, would definitely recommend and return
